club reports 2014
November 2014
We had our second monthly dance at our new venue which has proved to be a good move. The facilities could not be better with plenty of parking a nice large room and an excellent floor. We had 37 in October and 46 turned out this month. It was a traditional old time programme plus the odd classical dance which seemed to please everybody. We are grateful for the support we received at the new venue, anyone will always be welcome as we try to do all we can to promote old time dancing in our area. We would like to take this opportunity to also thank Bath & North East Somerset Council for all the support they gave The Old Time Dance Society allowing the Society to hold their Autumn Weekend in the Assembly Rooms. August 2014
Our dance on the 1st August was very well supported with 42 attending including visitors from Leicester and Oxford. It was a very warm evening and we did our best to cool the hall down so that it was comfortable to dance. We had to announce some bad news and good news, when we told those who were attending that next month would be our last night at this venue. The good news was that we had secured a new larger venue. To secure the venue we will have to change our evening to the second Friday of every month. We would like to thank all those who have supported us at our current venue and hope you will continue to support us at the new venue from October 10th.

July 2014
4th July was a double celebration for two couples who are good supporters of Bath Old Time Dancers. Both couples were celebrating their Golden Wedding on the 4th July, unfortunately only one couple were able to celebrate with us. Keith & Stephanie Bridges provided a cake and champagne and everyone raised their glasses to congratulate them on 50 years of marriage.

March 2014
At our March dance we had 39 including our friends Sue & Eddy from Leicester. We included two of the newer dances the County Gavotte 2014 and the Variety Swing. Both dances went down very well with nearly everyone on the floor it just goes to show people enjoy a few of the newer dances. Also at this dance we were pleased to be able to announce about the Southern Ball Winchester for 2015 and we were encouraged by the response we received.
