club reports 2019
December
The December dance at Bath, the last of 2019, was held on Friday 13th December, with a good attendance. There was a festive Christmas atmosphere with lots of Christmas music, an Old Time programme that included the Anniversary Two Step as it was the 10th Anniversary of Bath Old Time Dancers. We had a Christmas raffle and the usual mince pies. This has been another good year for Bath Old Time Dancers, we have encouraged a few dancers back to Old Time Dancing and continue to have attendances of 40 plus every month, we would like to thank all those who continue to support us. We look forward to 2020 and another year of Old Time Dancing with all our friends.

August
The August dance was also well attended and we were delighted to welcome some more new dancers who had heard how friendly Old Time Dancing was and wanted to join in the fun. With 49 dancers we had another excellent night of Old Time Dancing, with the floor full of dancers appreciating the Old Time programme. We do not have a Friday dance in September because we have the Bath Ball on Saturday 14th September. Everyone was looking forward to the Ball and meeting up with friends from around the Country. With almost 90 booked in and music by Elizabeth Harrison we should be in for a good night.

July
We were delighted to welcome 50 dancers to our July dance, this included some sequence dancers who tried the Trowbridge Tea Dance and enjoyed the Old Time Dancing so came back for more, plus some more sequence dancers trying Old Time out for the first time. It was also nice to have Christine and Daniel from Stroud with us along with Christine and Robert who had travelled down from Barnsley just for the dance. There was a great atmosphere with plenty of laughter, dancing and fun but best of all was having the floor full of dancers enjoying Old Time Dancing.

January and February
Bath Old Time Dancers continue to receive great support at our monthly dances, with 55 at our February dance. There was a great atmosphere with visitors joining regular and new dancers enjoying the programme. We have settled into the venue at Saltford and are looking forward to hosting our Bath Ball on September 14th there. With the music of Elizabeth Harrison and with 80 booked in at the moment it looks like it will be another good evening of Old Time Dancing. Having found a nice hall locally to us we are holding three Tea dances in Trowbridge this year. We held the first one on Sunday 17th February and we were delighted when 43 attended including some new local support. We held a raffle in aid of our chosen charity, for this year, the Stroke Association and with the good support we were able to raise a generous amount to start us off for the year.
