Dear Mr and Mrs Harris
We were absolutely delighted to have been contacted by you regarding your anniversary celebrations and wishing to donate cash to our school in lieu of receiving presents. We were so pleased with your kind gesture and even more so by the amount that your friends and family donated. Thank you so much for your very generous donation of £1000.
As you know, Brimble Hill School caters for children with severe and profound and multiple learning difficulties and the children face tough challenges in life. The Friends Committee was set up by parents of our special children and has fundraised and saved up, over years, so that we can purchase special equipment or large items of expense, which the school would just simply not be able to afford from the school budget.
With your kindness in donating this generous sum, we have begun the process of focussing on building up a Sensory Resources library of equipment full of different items and activities which can help our students understand the world around them. This can be anything from sandpaper, to support writing, vibrating toothbrushes and larger items such as weighted belts or trampolines.
Thank you so much for thinking of our children. On behalf of the children and everyone here at Brimble Hill School, many many thanks.
